These three beautiful luxury fully equipped five star cottages boast exposed beamed ceilings and solid oak kitchens. Acorn Cottage sleeps two people, Rosehip Cottage sleeps four and Blackberry, our ensuite cottage, sleeps four in unrivalled comfort with a very spacious lounge and four poster bed.

Local Area Information

This beautiful island is situated in the Irish Sea between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The most useful website for information on the island can be found on the Isle of Man Government website www.gov.im/tourism.
Travel to the Island is by plane from many airports in the UK and Ireland or by ferry from Liverpool, Heysham, Dublin or Belfast. The airport is in the South of the island about a 25-minute drive from Willow Nook Cottages. The ferries dock in the capital of Douglas which is about 20 minutes away by car.
The village of Kirk Michael is located on the North West coast of the island less than half a mile from Willow Nook Cottages. There is a village pub which serves food, a local shop, post office, chemist, butchers, church, bank and a garage which stays open until late.
A long sandy beach stretches most of the North West Coast of the Island. There is access to the beach from the centre of the village or after a short drive or walk from Glen Wyllin. Glen Wyllin also has a campsite and children’s play area. From Glen Wyllin beach there is a short walk up the beautiful Manx Nature Reserve called Cooildarry which emerges on to the road directly opposite the entrance to Willow Nook Cottages. This Glen provides access from the Cottages when the road is closed during the famous TT and Manx Grand Prix motorbike racing.
Kirk Michael is also an ideal base for walking and hiking. When walking from Willow Nook Cottages it is possible to join some of the best hill walks on the Island. The coastal walks including the round the island Raad ny Foillan (Road of the Gull) and the disused railway line which runs from Peel to Ramsey along the edge of the Northern plain of the Island are accessible from Glen Wyllin.
About six miles from Kirk Michael is the pretty harbour town of Peel. There is a supermarket, restaurants and numerous pubs serving food, take-aways, and a variety of shops including many interesting antique shops. There is also a lovely sheltered sandy beach and promenade and a very old castle to explore
