Chalet La Vardaf (The Squirrel) is a cosy, welcoming home from home with excellent views of The Dranse Valley. Whether you are looking for an adrenaline rush or a quiet leisurely break, Winter or Summer this is the place for you. The Chalet is set in a residential part of town, convenient for access to everything you will need for a great holiday without the noise or bustle directly on your doorstep. Less than five minutes’ walk into the hamlet of Montriond you will find our local Auberge, a pizzeria, bakers and a small general store. A fifteen minute stroll in the other direction to Morzine provides a wealth of restaurants and bistros to suit every taste and pocket.
La Vardaf is split into three individual apartments each with its own private entrance with parking available on site. Details provided are for the top floor apartment. All accommodation is spacious and airy and should not be compared to the smaller, French norm. The Chalet is on the sunny side of the valley, which means that at the end of the day you can watch the sun go down from the front balcony. In the summer deer often graze at the rear of La Vardaf at the edge of the forest clearing.

Local Area Information

Morzine is a charming market town set in the spectacular Haute Savoie region of the French Alps, which stretches out to the Swiss border, half way between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Morzine displays the rich character of a typical mountain village. It was the popularity of this spa town that first opened Morzine to tourism at the beginning of the 20th century. Development was cautious so as to maintain the natural beauty of its environment. The village is a local community, inhabited all year round and as such feels real. The facilities have been continually modernised however the spirit of the village remains intact.

In the Winter Morzine is in the heart of the legendary Portes du Soleil skiing area, which offers over 650km of easily accessible skiing and winter sports. Nearby Avoriaz provides some of the best snowboarding in Europe.

In the summer in Morzine is as active or relaxing as you want it to be. There's tennis, golf, swimming, horse riding, fishing, paragliding, white water rafting and canoeing to name but a few activities. Throughout July and August the telecabine whisks walkers and mountain bikers high into the mountains to enjoy the clean air and superb views.
