Deep in Cumbria's National Park, overlooking the famous Langdale Valley within a secluded and tranquil woodland  estate. Comfortable, tastefully furnished and extravagantly  equipped. Close to Lake Windermere, Ambleside, Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter. Your family dog will be more than welcome.
(Note that under the new 2006/7 regulations Blelham Tarn will be one of the very, very few Lake District cabins that will be allocated 4 stars by the English Tourist Board. We are already certified to that level.)

Local Area Information

Located between Lake Windermere and the Langdale valley in a secluded, mature, woodland park of individually owned lodges. At over half an acre Blelham Tarn occupies the largest and possibly most tranquil of all the plots and so complete peace and quiet can be almost assured. Our visitors record numerous sightings of Red Squirrels, Deer and Badgers, many of them only feet from the window. 

The cabin has efficient insulation, double-glazing and electric heating. Crystal clear spring water, full of minerals and as soft as silk, is pumped directly from the nearby River Brathay and piped straight to your tap for washing and drinking. Enjoy showering under pure mineral water - it's an absolute delight. (You would pay £1 a bottle for it in Sainsbury's!)

The shower room separates two full sized bedrooms, which sleep up to four non-smokers in absolute privacy, whilst every home-from-home comfort is right at your fingertips. For those who seek relaxation the front deck provides an excellent place to bask in some serious inactivity. Why not take advantage of the large barbeque, and prepare a meal of local produce cooked over twigs and branches?
