Villa Rodavia
Villa in England, United Kingdom
Property Description
BEAUTIFULLY finished self-catering holiday accommodation for four people in a quiet, secluded location close to the coast at Aylmerton, near Cromer and Sheringham.
Rodavia is an ideal country retreat with unspoilt rural views — and the nearest beach, at West Runton, is only two miles away.
Cromer and Sheringham offer a wide range of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Twenty-five miles away is the City of Norwich with its modern shopping mall, cathedral, castle museum and other historical buildings.
Rodavia's facilities include: lounge/diner with patio door, TV, video player, radio/CD player; fitted kitchen (including fridge/freezer, electric cooker with extractor hood, microwave and washer/drier); one double bedroom with patio door and TV; one bedroom with large, good quality bunk beds; finely finished oak flooring in both bedrooms; shower room with separate access from hallway; sun-trap patio and enclosed garden; ample space for parking (off road).
For cosy winter holidays, there is warm air heating in the lounge/diner and the bedrooms and a heated towel rail in the shower room. Rodavia is thermally insulated to modern standards. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided at Rodavia.
Local Area InformationRODAVIA is close to the site of the Roman Camp and within easy walking distance of Felbrigg Hall – owned by The National Trust – which stands in its own 1750-acre estate. There is a popular inn nearby which takes its name from the Roman site.
One of the finest 17th century houses in the country, Felbrigg Hall has its original 18th century furniture and paintings. Facilities include woodland and lakeside walks.
A new National Trust attraction in the region is at Sutton Hoo near Woodbridge, Suffolk. One of Britain’s most important archaeological finds was made at Sutton Hoo revealing evidence of Anglo Saxon pagan kings, ships, burials, treasure and warriors.
There are numerous places of interest in the area including Sheringham Park, Sandringham House, The Queen’s country retreat, and the classic 18th century Holkham Hall, home to seven generations of the Earls of Leicester.
At Sheringham there is a standard gauge steam railway which runs through scenic countryside and the famous Norfolk Broads are not far away.
There are popular beaches at Cromer, The Runtons and Wells, a bird sanctuary at Cley and a waterfowl park and gardens at Pensthorpe near Fakenham. These are just some of the area’s places of interest which will appeal to all ages.
