Bussana Vecchia is about 300 meters above sea level, getting both sea and mountain air, an hour's drive from Nice airport, half an hour from Monte Carlo and one and a half hours from the airport at Genoa, now served by Ryan Air. It's about five miles from San Remo and a mile from the sea. The nearest railway station and motorway exit are three miles away, at Arma di Taggia. It is well placed as a base for exploring both the south of France and northern Italy. There are good beaches and restaurants at Bussana Mare and Arma di Taggia. Within 15 to 20 minutes drive from the coast one can be alone in age old forests and chest nut groves. There is a good macadamed road to the entrance of the village which is unsuitable for cars and has narrow cobbled streets. The village has been rebuilt during the last forty years, largely by non Italian artists and writers.

I originally planned this space as a studio to paint in, as the light from windows facing north, north east over uncultivated land dotted here and there with fruit trees, a view of the sea to the left and the hills to the right, was so good. It has been rebuilt. Approximately 94 to 96 square meters devided into two byinterconnecting rooms with high arched ceilings. It is fully self contained. Newly furnished with cooking facilities, a fridge, a double sink a trestle table stools and chairs. There is a double bed and a childs bed, bed side tables, two arm chairs and side tables in one room and two single beds serving as sofas in the other. The double bed can be replaced with two single beds. I provide bed linen and towels, plates etc. The bathroom has a shower, bidet, lavatory and hand basin.
It is new airy, comfortable, light and spacious.

Large sun terrace with barbeque, for exclusive use of guests.
