The Casa FONTANA CALDA is on the south coast of Sicily – SciaccaTerme – in the middle of the itinerary of the ancient greek temples (Agrigento-Eraclea-Selinunte-Segesta). We have 4 units (1 or 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom, lounge and private veranda or private balcony). Fontana Calda offers it’s self-catering accommodation in a family atmosphere, run by my husband (Italian) and myself (German). It was created to provide you with the type of holiday that we both prefer: private, quiet, relaxing and far away from city life.

Local Area Information

SCIACCA (ca.40.000 inhabitants) is situated in the middle of the ancient Greek temples itinerary, on the famous archeological road between Selinunte and Agrigento. It's one of the oldest towns in the island. Sciacca is noted mostly for its Thermal Spa complex, it's beautiful beaches, and it's numerous artisan shops which specialize in ceramic ware.
Within few minutes drive you will find restaurants, pubs, banks, supermarkets, post office, hairdressers, cinemas, museum, churches and other visitor attractions. Within ten-minutes drive you will reach the finest beaches (rocks or sand, as you like).
There is an abundance of good, reasonably priced eating establishments in the area. These include pizzerias and restaurants. Anything from the plain and reasonably priced, to the more sophisticated palate are catered for.

From Sciacca you can easily reach the most important sightseeing of Sicily in approximately 1 hour drive:
Palermo - 90 km; Selinunte - 30 km; Segesta - 75 km; Eraclea Minoa - 25 km; Agrigento/Greek temples valley - 55 km; Monreale and Erice - 75 km; Piazza Armerina with its antique Roman villa and mosaics - 140 km;
