Property Description
The home is fully furnished and equipped to handle 2 couples or any combination of a family of 4 plus two small ones (two kings and one hide-a-bed). The home offers its own private pool, a BBQ and a very large front yard on a relatively private beach. It is fully furnished, nicely appointed and all the amenities of a new home on the beach. I suppose that the biggest advantage of a home like this is that there is lots of room, with miles of beach on one side, a private park on the other and two towns within walking distance, it just doesn’t get any better. There certainly are no vendors and very few strangers wandering around.
The house is located within a 19 home-gated community with 24 hour a day security. The front gate has a security guard at night, with another constantly roaming the property day and night. The casa will be equipped with a stereo and a satellite TV. There will be daily housekeeping (2 days a week) and clean towels and bed linen twice a week. There is a washer and dryer for your own personal needs.
I will warn you about one thing, country living is not for everyone but you probably won’t want to leave once you arrive. Walking down the beach and only saying ‘buenos dias’ to the odd person is the norm. It will take you ten minutes to walk into La Cruz if you choose. The stores are much smaller but then again the people are much friendlier. At any given time during the high season, it is not uncommon to see 40 to 50 sailboats anchored in the bay just right of the house. It is the largest protected area for sailboats in the bay and many boaters make this their winter home. From the comments of the guests to date, none have regretted staying at our little enclave. The children have had a particularly good time playing on the beach and amongst the tidal pools.
So now you might ask yourself just where is this place and how do I find it. Well, it is less that 20 minutes from the airport between the two towns of Bucerias and La Cruz (presently that is about a 225 pesos taxi trip ($25 USD). There are small food and convenience stores located in both towns as well as at the top of our drive way. There is a bus stop right at the top of the driveway and it is a 20 peso trip right to down town Puerto Vallarta. For those wanting to rent a car to do more exploring, the airport offers a number of car rental agents who will provide everything from a VW (@ less than $150 per week) to a full sized Suburban at considerable more. A 50% deposit is required to secure the house within 7 days of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your rental check-in date. (Final balance due 90 days prior to arrival for Christmas, New Years bookings.)
We accept personal cheques, money orders, bank drafts or wire transfers for the initial deposit. The final payment must be made by money order, bank draft or bank wire transfer--please inquiry about details. We're sorry, credit cards are not accepted at this time.
A refundable damage deposit of $100.00 is due with the final balance and will be returned within 10 days of departure, after inspection of the casa for damage or breakage of items. If there are children under the age of 16 or dogs in the group the refundable damage deposit is increased to $250.00. The damage deposit (either $100.00 US or $250.00 US) is due with the final payment and will be returned within 10 days of departure, after inspection of the casa for damage or breakage of items.
The occupancy of the Casa is limited to the persons indicated on your confirmation. Exceeding this limit is a direct violation of our rental agreement and a penalty of $100.00 US per extra person per night will be levied and your entire party could be asked to vacate the premises. As you can appreciate, booking the house for 4 people and having 10 show up causes not only a huge amount of work for the housekeeping staff but the additional wear and tear on the house can not be avoided. I will not accept a reservation for more than 6 people!
All rates are subject to change without notice, but your booking will be honoured at the quoted rate once the initial deposit has been received.

CHECK-OUT time is 11:00 A.M.

During any cancellation, a $250.00 non-refundable fee will be charged in addition to:
150 to 90 days prior to arrival, money received is 80% refundable
45 to 89 days prior to arrival, money received is 40% refundable
44 or less days prior to arrival total amount paid is non-refundable
In all cases, if the property can be rebooked for the exact same dates and at the same rate you will receive a full refund, less the non-refundable cancellation fee
Any cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and a confirmation of receipt will be issued
