Property Description

Le Papillon, our first gîte has private access with terrace. Your second terrace, a paved terrace with barbecue allow the climate to be
enjoyed in private. Gardenfurniture, sunbeds and a parasols are available. The
gîte accommodates up to 3 people(including one baby) and has an electric cooker with oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and a bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and a washing machine. It has one bedroom on the mezzanine with twinbed.
Satellite TV, iron and board are provided as well as a collection of
books. The necessary furniture for a baby can also be provided.
The pool will be shared with our guests in Les Hirondelles. You will enjoy the sunfalls

Local Area Information

We live in the South Aveyron just above the point where the Aveyron, Tarn and Tarn and Garonne districts meet. The nearest village is St. André de Najac but Laguepie is the closest village with all the necessary shops and services. Interesting, medieval towns in the area are Najac, Cordes, St. Antonin Noble Val, Gaillac and Albi. Albi is famous for its medieval centre, its cathedral and of course the Toulouse Lautrec Museum. The Gaillac wine region with its fine range of excellent wines is only a half-hours drive away.

The Aveyron valley counts 20 medieval cities, 11 museums, 8 strongholds, 2 abbeys of Cistercienes, 4 sites of Templars, caves and more then 20 castles. One of the main reasons, beside the sun and culture, for people to go to France is the French 'Cuisine'. The Tarn/Aveyron, the region where we live in, is famous for truffles, goat's milk cheese and a huge diversity of pâtés. During the last years it was one of our hobbies to search for interesting and affordable restaurants. Here in the region one can eat well for 12 to 15 euros. In our region you will find the authentic 'French Bergerie' , 'Auberge a la ferme' or 'Table Paysane'. Do not ask for a menu but sit down to be served and wait what grandmother has cooked!

Within a distance of 25 kms you will find several fine restaurants.
