Property Description

Three bedroom, two bathroom, semi-detached house in the lovely town of Almoradi overlooking the communal pool. The house benefits from air-conditioning, satellite television, ceiling fans in all bedrooms and a lovely solarium off the first floor landing with great views of the countryside towards the mountains. The stunning beaches of Guardamar are only about a 10 minute drive away as are several excellent golf courses. There is an Olympic sized swimming pool in the well equipped sports centre a 5 minute walk from the premises. The town is also a 5 minute walk away with bars, restaurants, casino and town square where a street market is held every Saturday.


Local Area Information

On the sub-tropical western coast of the Mediterranean the Orihuela Costa is a well-kept secret, far less arid than the Costa del Sol to the south and warmer than the Costa Brava to the north. The absence of the strong sirocco wind or the very high temperatures in summer results in a gentle climate, with more than 330 days of sunshine per year and an annual average temperature of 19°C. Mild winter temperatures and clear skies make the area a Mecca for winter golfers trying to beat the winter blues (or greens!). For those not too handy with a golf club, there are endless activities to enjoy. The beaches at Playa Flamenca 20 minutes drive have water sports during high season. You will find banana boats, jet bikes and para-sailing here but if you want something a little more secluded, there are several other beaches around the Torrevieja area to choose from including La Mata in the north or Mar Menor to the south, which is particularly suitable for children.

The area is famous for its salt lakes – which are two of the largest salt lagoons in Europe – situated to the west of Torrevieja. Although still extensively farmed for their salt, the lakes are now protected habitats for a huge variety of migratory bird life, including pink flamingos. There are several establishments open to the public on the natural park, with qualified staff to help visitors with their enquiries.

Attractions within approximately an hour’s drive include Terra Mitica Theme Park, the Benidorm Palace for dinner, shows & dancing and Mundomar Marine & Exotic Animal Park. Also nearby is the Rio Safari Park and the Curates’ Orchard at Elche, a garden 13,000 sq metres in size, specialising in Mediterranean and tropical plants, especially different varieties of palm tree. The caves at Busot boast one of the highest vaults in all of Spain, described as being similar to a cathedral. Busot also offers hiking routes with views of the whole region.

Transfer times from both Alicante and Murcia airports is approximately 45 minutes. Pick up and return can be arranged through us at a cost of 50 euros each way for up to 5 passengers. We are happy to arrange car hire at very reasonable rates depending on your requirements.
