Property Description
Casa Carolina is a detached villa that sleeps upto eight people (2 on a sofa bed in the lounge) plus one cot. The villa is located in Chiclana de la Frontera on the beautiful Costa de la Luz.
The property is 2-3 minutes drive from the beautiful La Barrosa beach and top class golf courses.
The accommodation consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge/dining room and fully equipped modern kitchen.
The rear of the property boasts an 8 x 4 metre swimming pool, to the rear of the property you will find a shaded area with table and seating for eight plus a barbeque. To the front of the property is an additional shaded seating area, further garden and car parking.

Costa de la Luz (The Coast Of Light)
Stretching from Gibraltar to the Algarve, the Costa de la Luz is an undiscovered gem with its unspoilt beaches that run for miles and miles. Home of flamenco, gaudy fiestas, pueblos blanco´s (white hilltop villages) religious processions, tapas and sherry are all here in abundance.
For the nature enthusiasts there are natural parklands that consist of beaches and marshlands that serve as resting places for many migratory birds.
Those interested in history will not be disappointed either, take a trip to Cadiz or go further inland and visit Seville.
CHICLANA DE LA FRONTERA
Chiclana is located in the southern Cadiz Bay and contains an area of 203 square kilometres. Since ancient times, Chiclana has been bound to Cadiz´s history. Prehistoric remains document man's presence in this territory, on the coast as well as in the interior. Phoenician, Punic and Roman remains were found in Chiclana and can now be seen in Cadiz´s Archaeological Museum. Chiclana is now a busy working town with a large selection of shops plus all the usual amenities of a small town e.g. public swimming pool, theatre, bars, restaurants, sport centres and the traditional bull ring. There are various fiestas that take place each year and a week long fair and fiesta that takes place in mid June. Chiclana offers a variety of different sausages and fried pork rinds also superb local seafood. Regarding confectionery, Chiclana counts on many reputable pastries. The famous Almond Cake (torta de almendras) made by Augustinian nuns is worth a mention at the convent Jesus Nazareno, which can be found in the city centre. You will also find a large selection of wine/sherry made in Chiclana by traditional processes. There are dry (fino), fragrant (oloroso) and muscatel wines. Why not visit some of the wine cellars. A ten-minutes drive from the centre of Chiclana takes you to the beautiful La Barrosa beach.

CADIZ
Jutting out of the bay of Cadiz, and almost entirely surrounded by water Cadiz lays claim to being the oldest city in Europe. Hercules, as legend claims was its founder, although history credits the Phoenicians with establishing the town of Cadiz in 1100BC. In the heart of the city you will find colonial mansions built by merchants in the 17th and 18th centuries when ships returned from the New World laden with treasures. The town also boasts a stretch of beautiful unspoilt beaches. Why not get your bearings by taking a trip on an open tour bus. Enjoy a drink in one of the many outdoor cafes. Cadiz is also renowned for the wildest fiesta in Spain during the month of February.

JEREZ
If you are not already a sherry convert you will be after a trip to Jerez, which is the world capital of sherry production, and many bodegas can be visited. Among the well-known names are Tio Pepe and Domecq. The city is also famous for its Real Escuela De Arte Ecuestre (the world famous school of Spanish horses). If you love horses then a date not to miss is the Fiestas De Otono, in late October, where more than 1,000 horse riders parade through the city's plaza arena. There is also Jerez Zoo, the botanical gardens and the fortress (the Alcazahar which includes the Arab baths and the camera obscura). Also worth doing is the open top tour bus.

TARIFA
Tarifa is the wind surfing capital of Europe. Here you can take a day trip over to Africa and visit Tangier, two-day stays are also available. Why not take a Dolphin Safari where you will have the chance to see dolphins, whales, turtles and flying fish, plus the most fantastic views of Gibraltar, Spain and Africa.

GIBRALTAR
Visit Gibraltar and take a trip in a cable car to the top of the rock. Spectacular views of Europe and Africa can be seen from the summit of the rock. Also see the world famous Barbary Apes.

DOÑANA NATIONAL PARK
Bordering the Atlantic at the mouth of the Guadaluivir River, between Cadiz and Huelva, Parque National Doñana is ranked amongst Europe's greatest wetlands and combines marshlands, dunes and pine forests and is the most important reserve in Spain. In addition to a wealth of endangered species, thousands of migratory birds stop over in the winter. Wildlife includes fallow red deer, pink flamingos, wild cattle, the Imperial Eagle and one of Europe's rarest mammals the Iberian Lynx cat. Four hour guided tours of the park can be arranged via the parks visitor centre.
Doñana National Park is situated 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Casa Carolina.
OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST
Along the coast there are many other places worth visiting. Amongst these there are Conil, Vejer de la Frontera (a pretty hilltop town), Cape Trafalgar (as in the Battle of Trafalgar).
GOLF
Novo Sancti Petri Golf Course
Recently extended to 36-holes, this was the first course in Spain designed by Seve Ballesteros. An attractive layout (amongst pine trees) that gives experienced players a test, but should not frighten beginners. The 6th hole has a green right above the La Barrosa beach.
