Thorntree is on the south side of the Carse of Stirling opposite Flanders Moss and the Lake of Menteith It is very central and ideal for a self catering holiday in Scotland Edinburgh GlasgowPerth St Andrews and the Highlands are all within very easy access Carol Mark Seymour live in this L shaped converted farmhouse and barn one wing of which is the spacious self catering accommodation which sleeps 6 or 7 people very comfortably The house is surrounded by flowerbeds and shrubs enhanced by the wonderful views over the Carse and towards Ben Lomond Spectacular sunsets can often be seen from your sitting room The ground floor of the barn is given over to a multi purpose living room kitchen and dining area which has patio doors onto the your own lawned garden with lots of room to kick a football around The kitchen area is equipped with cooker microwave fridgefreezer washing machine tumble drier and dishwasher The bedrooms are mainly furnished with antiques and are very comfortable There are 3 twin bedded rooms one with a private shower The other two rooms share a bathroom and there is a separate WC One of the bedrooms has an extra pull down bed enabling the barn to cater for 7 people House martins have a colony under the eaves on the courtyard side and are busy all summer long When the young are flying the yard is filled with hundreds of birds

About Shopping The Main town for shopping is Stirling (about 12 miles). There is an excellent village shop (open till late) about 3 miles away.About Skiing We are about 1 hour form Glencoe, Scotland's first skiing resort .

Ben Lomond is the first thing you see from the Barn windows and we are right on the edge of Scotlands first National Park Stirling Doune Aberfoyle Callander and The Trossachs are all within 2030 minutes drive Edinburgh is an hour and Glasgow 45 minutes Thorntree is very centrally based and is a great location for a touring holiday or just relaxing Golf fishing walking touring visiting museums and galleries even skiing in the winter are just some of the activities that are guests enjoy
