Local Area Information

Our cottage is situated in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd Ruthin is situated just 3040 minutes by car from the countryside of Snowdonia the North Wales coast and the centre of Chester ideal as a holiday base The town is steeped in history boasting a Castle where you can book your mediaeval banquet and the recently restored old Gaol is worth a visit There are excellent walks from the doorstep and there are plenty of local pubs who serve good food the nearest one being just 10 minutes walk away Or why not just relax and soak up the wonderful views SHOPS For groceries there are several supermarkets just under a mile away in Ruthin town including a large Tesco also there are a couple of good butchers if you prefer local produce There are two garages locally for your petroldiesel needs and there is also two chemists in the town
