Local Area InformationAt the northeast corner of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Larachbeag is ideally located both within the village and as a touring base for Perthshire. The famous Falls of Dochart are only five minutes walk up the street, and Loch Tay is less than a mile away, on one of the many wellsignposted walks which start from the village. Breadalbane Park, the venue for major annual events such as the Highland Games is nearby, and marks the start of the walk up Sron a Chlachain a hill overlooking Killin. The view over Loch Tay from this modest summit is splendid. From low down the mountain ridge Meall nan Tarmachan, a superb and much photographed backdrop to the village can be seen with Ben Lawers, Perthshire's highest mountain, close by. Easy driving take you through some of Perthshire's spectacular scenery to golf, watersports, fishing, hillwalking and climbing.
