The Watch House sits in a prominent position overlooking the sea shore and has superb views over to the Isle of May. The fishing village of Crail is known as the jewel in the crown of the towns leading round the coast to St Andrews.

The top floor has a large double bedroom with shower and toilet. This room has three gothic arch windows looking up and down the coast as well as out to sea. A turret staircase lead to the middle landing with door leading to The Castle Walk.

During renovations the original stone walls were revealed along with oak beams.
A twin bedroom on the middle floor with superb sea views from the window seat. Another turned staircase leads to the lounge area with sofa that converts to a double bed if needed.

A newly-fitted kitchen leads off this room with door leading to a grassed area leading down to the seashore. For walking enthusiasts, The Fife Coastal Path goes right by the house.
The Watch House is superbly placed right on the sea front with uninterrupted spectacular sea views across the Firth of Forth over to May Island.

Local Area Information

The famous St Andrews and The Old Course is only 9 miles from our holiday home where a picture taken on the Swilken Bridge will bring back memories for years to come. Scotland's oldest university town and a pilgrimage for golfers from all over the world. Who could fail to be impressed when standing outside the majestic Royal and Ancient Golf Club overlooking the famous "Tom Morris" the 18th.

St Andrews, however, offers an excellent shopping centre and an old fashioned refined ambience. If you enjoy old buildings, Castles and Cathedrals, then you will love your visit to this ancient town.
