Property Description

The apartment consists of two double bedrooms, a living/dining room, separate kitchen, bathtub/shower room and separate toilet. The bedrooms, kitchen and living room have double-glazed glass-doors with electric shutters, each opens to a private terrace and garden. All rooms are South-West facing and catches the bright afternoon sun. The apartment is neutrally decorated and furnished, equipped with a 32" cable TV (Digital Channels), DVD/CD player, WIFI broadband, Free telephone calls to international landline (mobile tariffs as per France Orange provider) and telephone entry system.

The property is a secured gated community that composed of several small buildings with beautiful landscaped gardens (broad shaded pedestrian walkpath of palm trees, olive trees, japanese garden and local regional trees etc). There is a good size swimming pool with an attached wading/baby pool and ample visitors' carparks within the gated development.


Local Area Information

The views along the coastal road, Bord de Mer (RN98) are beautiful and can be enjoyed by car or by train. The coastal route from Cannes takes you through Antibes Juan-les-Pins, Nice, Eze-sur-Mer, Beaulieu, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco and on to Ventimiglia in Italy. You can alight at any station along your route to explore a town, then continue your journey.

Antibes
Antibes is home of the largest private yacht marina (Port Vauban) in Europe. This is situated next to the vieille ville (Old Town) with its tall houses and narrow pavements. Walking along quaint streets of the Old Town, cafes, restaurants, churches, art galleries and authentic shops are plenty. Here you will also find Renoir's home and situated in the Chateau Grimaldi, the Picasso museum. During the summer, Marche Provencal (covered market) provides a vast array of local condiments and delicacies.

Cap du Antibes
The Cap du Antibes, marked by the lighthouse at the highest point, is a lush setting of some very large and very expensive estates, even by "French Riviera" standards. One of the most beautiful dwelling of Le Cap d'Antibes is Villa Eilenroc, which is open for visits. It also has the hotel of choice for international celebrities who prefer to avoid the bright lights and bussel of the Croissette in Cannes.

Juan-Les-Pins
Juan-Les-Pins boasts fine, sandy beaches and a vibrant nightlife. Famed for its jazz festival in July and August, "Jazz a Juan" is a season of music with fireworks displays. Along the street behind the seaside stage where "Jazz a Juan" is held, one will find ceramic tiles laid into the pavement with handprints of more than 50 jazz musicians who have played at this festival. A ride on "Le petit train" (the little train), departing from Juan-Les-Pins will let you experience both the ancient and modern town known as Antibes Juan-Les-Pins.

Cannes
The Stylish and chic Cannes is a about 14Km away and is perhaps most famous for the Film Festival held each May and the iconic Carlton Hotel. Cannes is worth visiting for its shopping along the famous Croisette with its exclusive designer boutiques but also (and more affordably) the long shopping street running the length of the Rue Antibes.

Biot
The village of BIOT, 8km to the north from Antibes. The village itself is extremely beautiful and oozes with art in every form of architectural, sculpted, ceramic, jewelled, painted and culinary. The main attraction is the glassworks which produces the famous hand-blown bubble glass.

Grasse
Grasse, 27km inland from Antibes and with some stunning views over the COte, is the world capital of parfumiers and has been for almost 300 years. Its is the center of the French perfume industry and is known as the worlds perfume capital (la capitale mondiale des parfums). It produces over two-thirds of Frances natural aromas (for perfume and for food flavourings).

NICE
Cosmopolitan Nice is the largest city on the Cote d'Azur. It enjoys a wealth of traditional architechure and the narrow streets of the old town and their many shops and cafes are great to explore. Nice is also home to a lovely flower market in the Cours Saleya area of the town. A lovely place to stroll is along the Promenade des Anglais which stretches right along the coast alongside the pebble beach. Nice hosts a carnival every February.

Monaco
Monaco is an independent Principality comprising two towns set on hilltops. The older town of Monaco is full of character with narrow cobbled streets full of cafes and shops, it is here you will find the Royal Palace and the Napoleon Bonaparte museum. Monte Carlo is the newer part which houses the famous casino, which is open to visitors as well as the rich and famous. The Monaco Grand Prix is held each May.

Theme Park/Outdoor

Parc de Vaugrenier
The Parc de Vaugrenier, 2 km up the coast (towards Nice) from the Antibes, has wide, hard-packed running and walking paths in the shade of its trees. There are fields for playing ball and plenty of spots for picnicking.

Aquasplash
Aquasplash Theme Park, boasts Frances fastest water slide, the Black Cannon, which propels riders to speeds of 60km/h, open all summer long offering attractions to keep even hard-core thrill seekers happy, including a wave pool, slides, toboggans, flumes and rubber-ring rides.

Marineland
A family attraction on the French Riviera near Antibes-Juan les Pins, is all about the sea. Open throughout the summer. A series of shows throughout the day feature killer whales, sea lions and dolphins. There is also an aquarium, where visitors can walk through a 30-metre tunnel surrounded by sharks, along with tanks of tropical species including clown fish and seahorse.

Parc Phoenix
Nice's Parc Phoenix is home to one of the largest glass-houses in the world, the Diamond Vert ("green diamond"), where the rarest species of plants bloom and thrive in their native climates. Step back in time and discover some of the earliest types of plant life on the Ile des Temps Revolus (Island that Time Forgot), set in the middle of an artificial lake. Ethnographic artifacts are treasured at the park's Musee Departmental des Artes Asiatiques. This nature lover's paradise is suitable for all ages and makes the perfect getaway for both educational visits and fun days out for children. The vast animal collections, intriguing plants and exotic flowers will leave you spellbound by nature's beauty and abundance.
