Ares' House is a 120 sq.m home with tiled floors and a large open-concept living area with a vaulted ceiling. The house is equipped for entertaining large parties, spending time on the beach (beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs are available) and entertaining young kids (toys, large yard, and neighbouring kids--all available for playing).

You can buy fresh local produce and fish in the farmer's market every week, cook them in the BBQ and enjoy them either on the large porch or under the tree in the yard. Ares' House is ideal if you want to exprience greek life off the beaten path--in a picturesque neighbourhood where houses are separated only by a narrow lane, neighbours will stop by, and kids may ask to play with your kids.

Local Area Information

This is a very Greek residential neighbouhood and the neighbouring houses are close together The advantage is that you can feel part of the neighbourhood goingson and learn something about greek people and culture The town of Zevgolatio has a population of approximately 5000 people and it is about a 20minute drive away from Corinth which is a larger city with fashionable boutiques cafes and restaurants Corinth is also the city from where you would take the train for Athens You would reach Athens after approximately one hour on the train you could spend the day sightseeing and shopping and you could be back for your evening meal on your porch in Zevgolatio Zevgolatio itself has tavernas and coffeeshops that you can enjoy The beach is in the next town of Vrahati and you could walk there in approximately 40 or drive in 5 If you are there in the Spring or Fall the walk would be a very pleasant option but in the Summer it is too hot for us The advantage of staying in our house in Zevgolatio is that you can be in a comfortable environment from which you can take daytrips to many interesting places and archaeological sites as well as islands The Delphi the ancient theatre of Epidauros the Acrokorinthos in the town of ancient Korinth the islands of Poros Spetses and Hydra and of course Athens are good examples of this
