Porthole Cottage is the perfect rural retreat for the enjoyment of those who are seeking a restful countryside break with the added bonus of being within easy walking distance of the sea.

The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy, Portbraddan, Bushmills and Dunluce Castle are some of the world famous sites to visit during your time at Porthole Cottage.

The famous Antrim Coast Road, Ballycastle, Rathlin Island and the Glens of Antrim must be included in any tour of the North Coast.

Accommodation comprises, spacious kitchen/dining room with Rayburn range (runs the central heating). The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave and immersion heater.

Comfortable lounge with radiator, open fire, TV and video player.

Two bedrooms, one double and one twin room.

Twin room has space for cot. A travel cot is available at a weekly rate of £20.

Bathroom with shower over bath.


Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Well-behaved dogs are permitted provided they bring their own beds, etc.

Outside there is a clothes drying area.
There is a ample parking and a large concrete yard where children may ride bicycles or play football well away from traffic.
Private, secluded site.

Prices range from £325 - £400.
During high season (June-September) letting is from Saturday to Saturday.
Weekend rates available on request. Sorry weekends are not available during high season.

Local Area Information

Porthole Cottage offers generous accommodation for 4 adults Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an ideal base for exploring the famous Antrim Coast Road and Glens of Antrim. The Giants Causeway, CarrickaRede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy, Portbraddan, Bushmills with its world famous distillery, and Dunluce Castle are all within a 6 mile radius. Ballycastle, Portrush, Portstewart, Castlerock and Magilligan are all just a pleasant drive away.
From Magilligan you can take the ferry to Donegal and explore the beauty and the ruggedness of the Inishowen Peninsula.

Rathlin Island just off Ballycastle is a wonderful place for birdwatching and to see the seals as they bask on the rocks; or take a picnic and walk around the island on the quiet almost car free roads.

Fishing, golf, and horse riding are all easily accessible from Porthole Cottage.
