No car needed as the small pedestrian ferrboat providing access to Whitianga restaurants is a short walk from the lodge. Staying 3 nights allows time enough to explore the inner harbour by kayak, fish from wharf or catch a glimpse of dolphins, orcas or stingray which swim up the harbour occassionly.
