This troglodyte house is a charming holiday rental in the heart of the Loire valley. Situated in Fontevraud L'Abbaye (a UNESCO World Heritage site) - a short walk from the historic Abbey - the tastefully restored home provides an opportunity to stay in a unique dwelling, within easy reach of the famous châteaux and vineyards of the Loire. There is a boulangerie opposite the house and a friendly family restaurant nearby.

There are three ensuite bedrooms :
The upstairs bedroom, with double-bed, has a bathroom (with bath) in the adjoining cave.
The downstairs bedroom, next to the kitchen, has a double-bed and a small bathroom (with shower) in the adjoining cave.
The third bedroom, with double bed and bathroom (with shower), is situated in a separate cave, with double doors opening to a sheltered terrace.

The living room is in the main cave, with one door opening to the garden and another into the kitchen. It has a large open fireplace, couch, armchairs and dining table. The kitchen has a fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, micro-wave oven, dining table and chairs.

A staircase from the kitchen leads to a mezzanine (with table and chairs) outside the upstairs bedroom.

High hedges shelter the west facing garden. A small gate opens to a short lane and the nearby street where a car can be parked.
