Property Description
This cottage is on Lake Iroquois in Hinesburg, Vermont. It is as close as you can get to Burlington (Vermont's biggest city, although it would be considered a small city anywhere else) and still be out in the country. The lake is excellent for fishing and swimming. We provide a canoe for your use. The cottage is not large, but makes good use of space. It has a full kitchen with all appliances, including a dishwasher. The deck, overlooking a wooded slope that looks down to our lake frontage, has a charcoal grill. We supply linens, towels, just about everything you'll need, even including food for breakfasts. This is almost like an unhosted bed-and-breakfast.
Local Area InformationThe lake is lovely, so this is a good retreat, but it's also close to Burlington, Vermont's most vibrant center of culture, arts, and things to do. It's a very short drive to the Shelburne Museum, the Teddy Bear factory, Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory, and numerous other attractions. But many of our guests reserve the cottage as a great place to stay when they have business in Burlington, or when they are visiting with family members at the many area colleges, or taking courses at one of the local yoga studios.

Please keep in mind that most vacationers reserve well ahead of time, and once a week is reserved, we turn away all other inquiries for that week.
