Property Description

This is a small farm of 7 acres in truly private, peaceful and rural surroundings, yet within easy reach of the City of Porto and many other important towns and points of interest in north Portugal. The accommodation consists of two large cottages, each divided in to separate or inter connected (whichever preferred) spacious apartments. Each of the five apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, king size beds and a double sofa bed.

The accommodation and facilities have received unqualified praise from everyone who has stayed at the Quinta as has the quiet and peaceful ambience of the surroundings.

Apart from regular airlines such as BA and TAP, Ryanair now has two return flights per day to Porto from London, Stansted. The farm is about 35 minutes drive from the airport.

There is staff on site for help with the chores.

Local Area Information

Getting about is particularly easy from this location with access to trains in all directions and rapid road connections to the north Portugal autostrada network.

When eating out, there is a wide choice of restaurants nearby all of which are excellent in quality and value for money. It is possible to have a full meal for two people including wines for what it would cost for a modest bottle of wine in the UK. At about £10.00 per head you will be having a banquet of generous proportions, because in the majority of cases a single portion is more than enough for two people.

There are many places of interest and beaches galore in north Portugal plus six golf courses within easy reach. Places of particular interest include the port wine lodges in Porto, the huge local street markets and towns with long histories back to Roman times such as Amarante, Barcelos, Guimaraes and Coimbra. The Douro River valley provides a spectacular backdrop for most activities associated with river trips and so on whilst the seaside resorts have all the facilities associated with sun, sea and sand.
