There is an Aqua park at Bordeaux, and outdoor treetop activity centre at Cenon, bird sanctuary, canoeing on the Dordogne etc.About HistoryLocated in Aquitaine the area has a long association with England (not all good!) The area is steeped in history from Roman times, there is a Gallo-Roman museum at Montcaret church where mosaic floors can be viewed. The Hundred Years War with the English was focused in the area, resulting in many bastide towns to visit. At Castillon (5km) they re-enact the last battle during the summer months, a spectacle well worth seeing.
Local Area InformationPadstow is 2 miles away, and the Eden Project a 20 minute drive away. The local saying is seven bays for seven days, so you could spend each day on a different sandy beach. Creally is only 15 minutes away, and at Newquay you have the Sealife centre, the Zoo and a swimming pool.
