Local Area Information

Surrounded by the Taurus Mountains Kalkan appeals to travellers looking for more than a 'sun and sea' holiday. Kalkan is quietly sophisticated and with an ambience that is very hard to match in other destinations. The village consists of narrow cobbled streets which all lead to the picturesque harbour here you will be able to enjoy a drink whilst watching the 'coming and going’s' of harbour life. One of our favourites is the local café bar at the light house which makes it’s own ice cream and where you will also find a warm welcome. There are also stylish and atmospheric Blues and Jazz bars. The village shops stay open till around midnight and are well stocked with hand crafted jewellery, clothing, textiles, barbers shops and much more.
