The Cascada condominium building, where the Casabest (www.casabest.com) apartments are located on the hillside overlooking the bay of one of Mexico's most beautiful secluded beaches, La Ropa Beach, which has perfect weather for swimming all year round, delicious restaurants and glorious sunsets to watch! Restaurants on the beach serve very good food including, obviously, fresh fish, shrimps, clams and many other deliciously prepared sea foods. The walk down to the beach is an easy five minutes but it is somewhat harder to get back as it is a steep uphill walk! The condominium building, which consists of 14 apartments, is built up the hillside, so each apartment is private and has its own unimpeded view of the bay and out to open ocean. There is a small pool in a shared common area for use by guests.

The one-bedroom apartment has a bedroom with a double bed, an equipped kitchen, a dining/living room, a bathroom with shower unit (no bathtub) and a large terrace overlooking La Ropa beach and bay.

The two-bedroom apartment has two bedrooms with double beds, a living room with two sofa beds, a dining room, an equipped kitchen, a bar, two bathrooms with shower unit (no bathtub) and a large terrace overlooking La Ropa beach and bay. Both apartments are fully air-conditioned. There are no televisions but we do provide a small radio, cassette and CD player so that you can enjoy your favourite music!

Just a further note about the kitchen - it is fitted with four efficient and very fast electric plates for cooking but these are not really suitable for producing gourmet meals for a large group. There is no regular oven but there is a an efficient microwave so that you will have all you need for any lighter meals you might like to prepare.

We provide towels and bed linen but you would have to bring your own beach towels. Miguel is on duty during the day to look after the common areas and make sure you get the keys to unit upon arrival. At night there is always someone on duty.

If you decide to make a reservation, I will put you in contact with our local administrator in Zihuatanejo. She will then be your contact point and will reconfirm availability for the dates you require, send you all the relevant reservation, telephone and damage deposit information and help you make all the necessary arrangements for your arrival at Casabest.

Local Area Information

Zihuatanejo itself is a bustling town geared to the interests and needs of visitors but very much with a life of its own. People are friendly and helpful, there are plenty of good restaurants, a wonderful food market and a glorious market for Mexican handicrafts. A large supermarket with everything and anything you might need and is a five minute taxi ride from the condominium.

If you are interested in fishing, there is a huge variety of boats to chose from at the Marina to spend the day out at sea. Ixtapa is an extremely successful tourist development with the best hotels, clubs and restaurants, and is a ten minute taxi ride away.

We, of course, think it's paradise and the perfect place to spend a holiday!!
