Casa Marta is a 18thcentury fully restored stone building with three floors spanning roughly 325 square feet each It is located in the village of Pascoso district of Pescaglia province of LuccaTuscany in the Apuane Park 2321 feet above sea levelIn short the house is made up of 1 kitchenliving room 2 bedrooms 1 full bathroom 1 powder room 2 pantries The house does not have a lawn but there is space just outside the French doors leading out from the downstairs bedroom for a small table sunshade and chairs There are two entrances the front door which takes you into the kitchenpantry and the back door which leads to the downstairs bedroom as the house is nestled on a hill with three floors on one side and two on the other The house is fully furnished with all new or antique pieces Tuscan pieces from the 19th century The light fixtures are lavish and we have provided a television satellite radio and CD player We have not yet installed a telephone there is a public phone in town if you dont have a mobile but telephone computer and internet access are available at our office 10 meters far A central heating system gas has also been installed And naturally a working fireplace adorns the second floor as how would a mountain house be complete without one

Pascoso is an ideal stay for natures lovers. However it is not far from the cities of arts of Tuscany : Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Siena etc, and beaches Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, which are among the most famous Italian beaches, are no more than 30 miles far. Pascosos finest asset and the most important reason to travel there is the nature in which it is literally immersed Pascoso is really a hikers paradise ; many of the mule paths are suitable for mountain bikes and horses which you can rent in Pascoso. For some hikes you might want to drive a few short minutes to your point of departure whereas for others you can leave directly on foot from your front door. And clearly for visitors with offroad vehicles the opportunities are endless. A section of the Turrite Stream is reserved for fishing. Trout abound although given the low levels of the water they generally do not grow to be very large Further downstream the Turrite flows into a large artificial basin where the fish are less numerous but much bigger.
