If you are looking for a holiday cottage in Cromer this might be the one. Cockle Cottage is a beautifully presented conversion of a Victorian school, right in the centre of Cromer. The beds are beautifully comfortable with nice linens. Cockle Cottage is centrally situated so all the amenities of Cromer are within walking distance. The Pier is just a short walk, as is the beach and fish and chip shop! Some of the original architecture of the school, including the school gates, are still standing. The windows and doors are all painted in the original colours of the school. It is a pretty and historical development with a communal garden and a private fenced cottage style private garden. A stunning, modern house set within the popular coastal town of Cromer. It offers a perfect base from which to explore the North Norfolk Coast and has fantastic views over the town and out to sea. The property has everything that you could need for your coastal get-away.
The Back Barn is a super holiday cottage in Cromer. It is beautifully presented, with a lovely bright and sunny feel from the moment you walk in. The Back Barn is owned by Christine and Simon, and is a much loved holiday bolt hole for them, and their family. With wooden floors to the main room, and tiled flooring in the kitchen and hallway, it is great for dogs and children. Especially with the French Doors leading directly onto the very safe fully enclosed garden. The decor in the sitting room has a Scandi feel to it and is very comfortable. The house is situated approximately a mile from the town centre and a walk of about 20 minutes. You can also walk down the hill to the area known as Happy Valley, which was the original Victorian pleasure garden, that is at the top of the cliffs with access to the beach. Again about a 20 minute walk. There are two bathrooms, one with bath and one ensuite shower room, so no arguing over who has the bathroom in the mornings! A lovely sunny spacious holiday cottage, with a safe enclosed garden. Parking is allocated right outside and there is a ramp to the front door. The property is all on one level. Cromer is a traditional and elegant seaside town famous for Crabs and lobster and of course the pier, a fabulous place to sit and watch the sea and enjoy some excellent fish and chips! The summer brings the very famous Cromer Carnival, the whole town participates and there is something for everyone from Dog Shows, fancy dress competitions, line dancing, live music to The Red Arrows. Cromer has a wonderful beach that stretches for miles. It has become a centre of surfing and is a perfect place to learn this skill with The Glide Surf School right the front on hand to give lessons. Recently, Cromer has had a big resurgence in popularity and exposure as a real destination holiday town. Cromer is often used as a back drop for film and TV productions, with the pier being the jewel in the town. There are many great places to eat and of course sample the local seafood. Further afield you have Sheringham with the Norfolk Steam Railway, and if you venture further East you will be rewarded with empty beaches, seals and peace and quiet.
Enjoy the private hot tub or a spot of golf at the nearby golf course. Cromer’s attractions are also just a short distance away.
