About Tanner Croft Cottage

Two bedrooms at Tanner Croft Cottage, a double with a TV and a twin, share a bathroom that has both a bath and a separate shower cubicle. An additional cloakroom with a WC takes the pressure off first thing in the morning, which is worth more on a walking holiday than it sounds.

The sitting room has a dining area in it and a wood burning stove as its focal point, with gas central heating for everything the stove does not reach. In the kitchen there is an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. WiFi, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player fill in the evenings. Bed linen and towels are provided, and a cot is available.

The cottage sits centrally in Grasmere, with a pub and a shop two minutes' walk away, so an evening meal out needs no planning and no driving. Private parking takes one car, which is not a small thing in a village of this size. A gravelled garden area with patio furniture gives somewhere to sit with a drink once the boots are off. The cottage is let to adult parties.
