The lovely village of Newby Bridge has the famous former Furness Railway which runs between Lakeside and Haverthwaite. Around the corner from the cottage enjoy magnificent views across Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells where you can hire a boat to enjoy this wonderful area or take the steamer up to Bowness. Bowness-on-Windermere is just 8 miles away and provides a lovely day out with an abundance of bars shops and eateries or head up to the picturesque village of Hawkshead which has charm and character throughout along with many local shops and pubs and is located 9 miles from the property. Walking into this former railway cottage you will find yourself in the lounge area which has two comfortable two-seater sofas positioned around the Smart TV ideal for a relaxing family movie night after a busy day exploring the area. The kitchen/diner is tastefully styled with an electric oven and hob and a pine dining table for everyone to enjoy a tasty meal. There is a utility area with a microwave washing machine and fridge/freezer. Up to the first floor is the main bedroom with a double bed and plenty of space offering amazing views over the steam railway. Along the landing is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC and completing this property is the bedroom next door with 3 bunk beds. At the front of the house is a beautiful patio area with seating to enjoy the steam trains passing by and views over the fells beyond plus a part fenced lawned area.
