About Artists Hideaway

Everything at Artists Hideaway is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to live in from the moment the bags come out of the car. Two bedrooms, a super king size double and a single, sit off an open plan living area where the kitchen, dining table and sitting area share the space. A log burner and a TV anchor the sitting end of the room.

The kitchen is built around a Rangemaster oven and hob, with a microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine alongside, and WiFi reaches the whole cottage. Outside there is a patio with furniture, a lawned garden, private parking for one car, and lockable storage for bikes and anything else that should not be left out overnight.

One small well-behaved dog is welcome. The owners live next door, which in practice means somebody is on hand if a tap drips or a question comes up. Shops and pubs are a ten minute drive away in Keswick, so a stay here works best with a car and a full boot. What you get in exchange is quiet, a level layout and a stove to sit beside afterwards.
