Stott Park Bobbin Mill is a neighbour and pretty little Hawkshead is just up the road. How about climbing up Gummers How on the other side of Windermere to see if you can spot the property, Lakeside from the top, it's a small fell and easily reached but the views are superb. With easy access to the A590 you could also turn away from the hills and explore the southern Cumbrian coast, facing Morecombe Bay this area has a microclimate and character all of it's own - delightful! Enter through the back door into a large hallway with plenty of space for boots and coat hooks over the radiator. To the right is the bright and spacious bathroom; fully tiled with a bath and large separate shower cubicle it is perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of the day with the added benefit of underfloor heating and a heated towel radiator to complete the experience. Follow the hallway round to the left to find the beautiful open plan, dual-aspect living area. Cleverly divided into zones by the furnishings and united by the complimentary colours and finishes this is a peaceful and inviting room for relaxing in. In front as you walk in is the dining table comfortably seating four people for stylish meals in and to the right the kitchen units form a U shape in the corner of the room. The kitchen area has been designed to appeal to everyone with sleek fitted units and built in appliances. Keen chefs will find all the equipment they need arranged in the ample drawers and cupboards plus plenty of worktop space to prepare food to cook on the electric hob or in the eye level oven and grill,and a dishwasher and microwave tucked away out of sight. There is also a built in washer dryer and large fridge/freezer. Beyond the kitchen two-seater sofas face a large stone fireplace with wood-burner for cosy, comfortable evenings in front of the fire. Grab a book from the selection on the shelves beside the fireplace or watch the Smart TV, you can get the usual Freeview channels or log in to your own Netflix or Prime account. There is also a box of children's toys and books to keep the little ones entertained. During the day the perfect spot to sit has been created in front of the window looking out over the lawns, fields and woods to the lake, two chairs with a footstool, coffee table and mAgazines invite you to sit down, relax and enjoy the ambience and the view in this lovely retreat. The original panelling round the window, the parquet floor beneath your feet and the peaceful view makes for a timeless elegance and a real connection to all the people who have sat and enjoyed this space too. Deer are often seen in the meadows in the mornings and evenings - what could be more tranquil? Leading off the far side of the living room are the two bright bedrooms, to the left is the king-size bedroom sharing the beautiful views down to the lake with the living area. A chest of drawers and hanging space provide storage and there is a full length mirror, bedside table and lamps over the bed. With a second window looking over grass and trees this room is beautifully light and serene with just the sound of birdsong to listen to as you wake. Next door is a twin room (which can be made into a super-king upon request) with window looking out on to the side garden with lawn and woodland. Both beds have bedside tables and lights over the bed and there is hanging space, shelves, a chest of drawers plus a mirror. Heading outside exit the apartment through the front door into a shared lobby and then out into the garden. The large gardens are mainly laid to lawn with mature trees befitting the surroundings of the mansion. A bench on the front terrace enjoys the stunning view across the lower lawn and fields to the lake with boats moored in the bay and the wooded slopes of Gummers How beyond. Beyond the formal garden take a walk down the track to the lake, there are meadows and woodlands to the left that you can explore at your own risk before you arrive on the lakeshore. At the lakeshore a natural shelving beach provides access to the lake for boats, paddling and swimming and there is also a 40ft jetty offering access to the lake. A grass area fronted by a timber walkway has picnic benches and plenty of space for children to play whilst adults can just drink in the peace and the amazing views, a stunning spot for picnics, BBQ's and making lasting memories. Guests with their own boat can use a designated boat parking space and enjoy full access to Windermere.
