About The Retreat
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?The Retreat is a lovely cottage near the village of Appledore, just four miles from Bideford. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin and a ground floor family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire. Outside is roadside parking and an enclosed courtyard with furniture and a barbecue. Situated next to the River Torridge, The Retreat is a lovely holiday home at any time of the year. Please note: this property has low ceilings so taller people may need to bend down in some areas.
Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over and basin. Separate WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.
Electric storage heaters with electric fire. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking available nearby on first come, first served basis. Additional parking in nearby Pay and Display car parks. Enclosed courtyard. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 mins walk, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Property situated down a narrow one way road. Note: when accessing property, the toilet, bathroom and kitchen on level, living area accessed down two small steps. Please note: this property has an open tread staircase with a rope handrail as pictured.
