About Estuary Vista - Coastal Chic

Taking the short walk to the village quay in Appledore, visitors will find fishing boats returning with their catch of the day, which provide the village’s restaurants with fresh fish. A ferry runs across the estuary of the River Torridge, to the neighbouring village of Instow, with its yacht club, beach, and interesting craft workshops. Just a few minutes’ drive away is the seaside town of Westward Ho! where there is an impressive two-mile wide sandy beach, backed by the sand dunes of Northam Burrows Country Park. For keen golfers there are many local courses to choose from including The Royal North Devon Golf Club in Westward Ho! and Torrington Golf Club both a short drive a way.

The owners of this first-floor apartment have styled the property in order to make the most of the uninterrupted estuary views. The lounge/diner, for example, has a stylish, understated feel to it, so as not to distract from the views, which can be enjoyed from the comfortable sofa, and the folding dining table which is positioned right under the window. There is also a coal-effect electric fire here, keeping the room lovely and warm, even in winter, as well as Wi-fi and a Smart TV. The adjacent kitchen also offers estuary views, and is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine,  fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The apartment’s two bedrooms are both double rooms, one of which enjoys access out to the patio via sliding patio doors, giving guests in this room a most wonderful view to wake up to. The property’s bathroom has a shower and WC.

Outside, there is a patio with a table and chairs to the rear of the property, which is accessed through one of the bedrooms, offering a fantastic place from which to enjoy the sights and sounds of the estuary. As is typical in the village, there is no parking at the apartment, but there is roadside parking and public car parks nearby.
