About Fig & Bay Cottage
Formally the coach house, Fig & Bay Cottage sits in a special location, within the grounds of an Edwardian Country House, surrounded by beautiful gardens with far reaching views over the Devon countryside with Dorset beyond.The property has been lovingly renovated to provide comfortable accommodation over two floors with an open-plan sitting room, and an adjoining contemporary kitchen with dining area. French doors lead out to a beautiful private courtyard garden, which includes well established shrubs including a fig tree, lavenders and roses. A tiled cob wall offers privacy for relaxing and alfresco dining, whilst still allowing guests views of the neighbouring stunning garden, and the glorious countryside beyond.
There are three comfortable bedrooms, a double with its own en-suite bathroom with shower on the ground floor, and a further double bedroom and a twin bedroom on the first floor. A family shower room with large walk-in shower enclosure is located on the ground floor, and there is a useful utility room also. The cottage has been tastefully furnished and decorated, with a clever colour palette, beautiful soft furnishings, and hand-chosen local art, which all combine to create a special atmosphere and stylish comfortable space.
Fig & Bay Cottage is perfect for couples or families, and is well-situated for trips to Lyme Regis with its beach, famous cobb and fossil heritage. Nearby Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth are all just a pleasant drive away, and offer opportunities for enjoying the stunning Jurassic Coast, and wonderful Devon Countryside. Being close to the border with Dorset also, you will be spoilt for choice for things to see and do when enjoying your stay at this special holiday home.
