Step back in time as you board the beautifully restored steam trains and embark on a scenic journey through the Rother Valley with trains running from Tenterden a pretty market town with many independent shops and eateries to the historic Bodiam Castle a medieval fortress surrounded by a moat and set amidst rolling green fields. Take leisurely walks with your four-legged friend or cycle along the gentle trails whilst admiring the landscape of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Keen gardeners will enjoy a visit to nearby Great Dixter House and Gardens (1mile) and you can also venture to the bustling coastal towns of Rye (9 miles) and Hastings (12 miles) each offering their own unique blend of seaside charm and cultural heritage.
