Additionally just 5 miles away from the apartment is Lymington from which guests can take the short crossing over to the ever-popular Isle of Wight for a day of adventure. The apartment is perfectly located in central Brockenhurst with a host of amenities right on the doorstep. After entering the property through the shared hallway entrance you can continue through to the ground-floor apartment on your left-hand side. Make your way to the chic open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is bright and airy with the large windows allowing sunlight to beam through into the apartment. The modern kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven with gas hob fridge/freezer dishwasher microwave washing machine and dryer. In the lounge space there is a lovely dining table seating two with ease and an additional bench enabling an extra two to dine if required. There is a comfortable sofa which can be made into a sofa bed (sleeping one adult or two children) and a Smart TV too creating the perfect combination to enjoy a movie night in after a day exploring the New Forest. Situated just off the kitchen is the bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and WC. Completing the apartment space is the bedroom which has a king-size bed and ample wardrobe space. This apartment has its own private terrace space with outdoor seating an ideal spot to sit with a cup of coffee at breakfast and plan the day s events ahead. With spectacular walks and cycle rides across open heathland and forest tracks this is the ideal location for an active or relaxing holiday in the heart of the New Forest. Ford Farm Riding stables are close by. For those wanting to travel by train the mainline station has trains to Bournemouth, Weymouth, Southampton and London, with a local branch line to the popular coastal market town of Lymington. Tucked away on a forest track on the outskirts of Brockenhurst, this end of terrace cottage was built in the early 1900s. Recently it has been carefully refurbished with a view to honouring its past while bringing in more light and space. Two wood-burning stoves contribute to the cosy cottage atmosphere and a light, airy sunroom makes a great place to relax overlooking the delightful garden. Being right on the forest means you can spend the day wandering miles of heath and woodland and in the evening potter down to the village for a meal or snuggle in with books, music or TV. Before you go to bed, we suggest you turn out the lights, enjoy the stars and hear the owls call. Cycle tracks are also close at hand. Please note that the unmade road can be a bit bumpy and there is a 90 metre path from the parking space to the house. The owners will willingly help with luggage and most online grocery stores will deliver right to the door (our wonderful village greengrocer will also deliver a box). If a car-free holiday sounds appealing, Brockenhurst station is a 20 minute walk or 10 minute cycle ride away - transport to and from the station can be arranged on request. Please note that access to Owl Cottage is via an unmade gravel track. Please drive carefully as there may be potholes.
