Two miles north of the property, the Newton National Nature Reserve is a managed by the National Trust and offers tranquil walks around the harbour and estuary and even has an interesting 17th century former town hall, which is now a museum dedicated to the area’s turbulent political past. Due to the small size of the Isle of Wight, all of the island’s attractions are easily accessible, including Alum Bay, Cowes, Osborne House, Robin Hill Park, and the seaside resorts of Ryde, Shanklin, and Ventnor.
