This beautiful property is situated within 25 metres of Talkin Tarn where a tearoom boat hire great walks and bike routes provide many opportunities for adventure. The village pub is less than a mile away for relaxed meals out. The historic market town of Brampton is only 2 miles away with antique shops cafes and takeaways and there is usually a farmer s market once a month in the square. There is golf course within 500 metres; enjoy a round of golf or dine on a lovely lunch in the clubhouse restaurant. Gelt Woods (2 miles) offers a delightful walk and an RSPB nature reserve. Look out for the rock with an inscription carved by a Roman soldier in the 3rd century. You can also walk along the ridge through woodlands and take the quarry beck footpath to Lanercost Priory (4 miles). Hadrian s Wall (8 miles) stretches seventy-three miles from Wallsend near Newcastle to Bowness-on-Solway. There are Banks Turret near Brampton and Birdoswald Roman Fort just a few miles away. You will enter the property and find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offering a cosy welcome with underfloor heating and contemporary real flame fire in the lounge. The bi-folding doors from the lounge open onto the private patio - such a lovely feature on a summer s day to bring the outside in and listen to the bird song. The kitchen is well equipped with a handy utility room opposite and WC. Heading up the stairs from the lounge area to the first floor you will find the spacious and bright master en-suite bedroom with large floor-to-ceiling picture window which has stunning views over the open fields and towards the lake. Along the corridor is the twin bedroom which is also en-suite featuring a bath which is ideal to relax in after a day of long walking golfing or cycling. Outside there is a pretty private patio area that has seating and views over the shared gardens. It offers the best place to enjoy breakfast a morning coffee or sit out in the evening and stargaze in the dark skies. There is a car park opposite the property entrance and a parking permit is provided. This holiday let is just 3 miles from a local farm which sells delicious Jersey milk and shakes where you can sometimes pet new-born calves depending on the season and close to the picturesque market town of Brampton (2.5 miles) perfect for dining out and shopping. Walk through the enclosed gravelled garden area and you are met with this delightful lodge pod perfect for a romantic glamping experience. On entering the property you will find the charming sleeping area with a double bed to the rear of the pod. Settle down on the sofa to watch TV a great space to relax after a day out exploring the local area. There is a dining table with seating for two and shelving for storage. The delightful kitchen area is equipped with an electric single-ring hob fridge/freezer and microwave. Next through the door you will find the spacious shower room with shower and WC. Venture outside to the private decked area with seating where you can enjoy views of the magnificent countryside across Hadrian s Walk or take a relaxing dip in the hot tub. You may also get the opportunity to spot the regular visitors including deer red squirrels barn owls hare rabbits red kite and lots of garden birds. There is off-road parking for two cars.
