With great walking opportunities literally from the front door, you can walk to Brancaster beach and its famous golf club in only 20 minutes and to the village shop/deli and The Ship Inn gastro pub in less than ten. A walk down the steps and through the private gate onto the coast path from Marsh Retreat is an ideal way to lose yourself in this Area of Natural Beauty, with its salt marsh, creeks, sand dunes and of course its abundance of bird life and wildlife which makes this coastline so unique.
Perfectly proportioned and all on one level, this wonderful retreat is a great choice for romantic weekends or longer stays. From the small courtyard/terrace with its pergola and barbecue, you can watch the waders as they feed on the marsh and marvel as the pink-footed geese fly overhead on their way to feed on the sugar beet fields. On warmer days, dine alfresco and enjoy a sundowner or two, as the sun disappears beneath the horizon and make plans for the day ahead.
