Marigold Cottage Docking, Norfolk

Marigold Cottage is a delightful cottage located down a quiet lane overlooking Major Hare's estate parkland. There are fields at the rear of the cottage with grazing sheep, and to the side, an ancient wood with snowdrops in the spring and flowering wildflowers in the summer. Marigold Cottage’s dining kitchen is open-plan and ideal for entertaining with a stable door leading to the enclosed rear garden.

There is a wonderful fireplace in the large sitting room and large, comfy sofas to curl up in front of the wood burning stove. Upstairs there are two bedrooms; a master and a double. There is plenty of room for a travel cot in the master bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over - perfect for relaxing those muscles after a long walk on one of the many stunning local beaches - Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham, to name but a few, which are just a short drive away. For shopping and restaurants, visit nearby Burnham Market five miles away.

There are miles of lovely country walks from your doorstep, and tens of thousands of geese descend on the fields around Docking to feed in winter, a truly incredible sight and sound. If you're looking for a quieter base than the bustling coastal villages, Docking is a very central location with lots of interest around, and still only five miles from the coast at Brancaster.
