It is situated in-between Holme next the Sea and Thornham, so perfect for exploring the whole of the North Norfolk Coast. Newholme Cottage is next to the owner’s property but has complete privacy and its own garden and parking area. They have a private right of way that goes right into Holme village across their fields that you are welcome to use (open April-October) Birdwatchers are particularly spoilt here with views over the fields where the pink foot geese often roost. Holme has its own bird reserve, Norfolk Wildlife Trust and Norfolk Ornithologist’s Association and the famous RSPB reserves of Titchwell (five min drive) and Snettisham (15 minute drive) are very close. The region is designated a National Landscape and is situated within the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. The accommodation is very generous with a large well equipped kitchen and a comfortable sitting room. Upstairs is a lovely bedroom with views over the fields to the front and distant views of the sea to the rear. Guests have a private garden area to sit in and private parking. Holme next the Sea is a pretty coastal village in-between Old Hunstanton and Thornham, it has an excellent pub, The White Horse which is very popular with both locals and tourists alike. The area is famous for its birdwatching which is world class. Drove Orchards a super shopping and eating destination is a two minute drive, where you can sample Eric’s famous fish and chips, browse a wonderful antiques emporium at the Cider Barn grab some fresh local fish from Gurneys or shop in the beautiful Joyful Living, a must! Thornham Deli another fantastic place to eat, again is a two minute drive. Great shopping here too. Holme has a nice sandy beach which is not generally as busy as its neighbour Old Hunstanton, and in the summer months a Tern colony nests along the shoreline. Walking is perfect from Newholme Cottage straight from the door, you can walk into Holme Village or along the coast road to Thornham or inland along Peddars Way the Roman Road which ends at Holme. The Norfolk Coastal Path is also close by.
