Harbord House is situated at the top of Overstrand High Street and overlooks the cricket ground and main street of this historic village. Roof Tops is on the top floor and even has a very small glimpse of the sea from the window. The apartment is open plan with a stylish and calm feel. The large windows flood the space with light. The seating area has comfortable chairs and great views of the village, the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. The kitchen,which is to one end, is well equipped with everything you need, if you wish to cook. The main bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed and the second has two full sized singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Overstrand is 2 miles from Cromer and was known in Victorian times as the Village of Millionaires and was a favourite haunt of Sir Winston Churchill. It still retains its old fashioned charm with the Cliff Top Café, sandy beach, village cricket ground, pub and lovely countryside walks. You can buy fresh crabs and lobsters in season straight off the boats from the crab shack at the top of the cliff. The architecture of the village reflects its prestigious past, some designed by the renown architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The cricket ground is a wonderful place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, the pretty Pavilion which is open to all, has a very good bar! The kitchen is a fabulous space with contemporary kitchen units and double ovens. To one end there is a snug area over looking the garden with a comfy sofa and TV, so great for kids. The sitting room is bright, with French doors to the garden and terrace area, where you will find some good garden furniture for those sunny holiday evenings outside. To one end of the sitting room is a dining area with table and chairs and some stylish overhead lighting. Overstrand offers the best of both worlds; you can enjoy leisurely walks by the sea or a trip to the traditional fun-filled seaside resort of Cromer just 2 miles away. The cliff-top café in the village is a lovely spot to enjoy splendid sea views. You can also call in at the pub offering a fantastic menu of home-cooked meals. The North Norfolk Steam Railway takes a scenic route from Weybourne to Sheringham via Holt (7 miles). Families will love Amazona Zoo just 3 miles away. Hire a boat at Stalham (15 miles) to explore the 125 miles of lock-free waterways that make up the magnificent Norfolk Broads. On entering the spacious hallway leads around to the lounge area on the right-hand side. This is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the beach; a four-seater sofa and two arm-chairs which surround a wall mounted Smart TV ensuring you need not miss catching up on your favourite show even when on holiday. There are French doors which lead out the wooden decking and private walled patio area. The kitchen has everything the chef among you will need to feel at home; an electric oven and gas hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine that will no doubt come in handy to wash the sand out of your socks. Once dinner has been lovingly prepared serve up at the dining table which can seat up to six guests. Off from the lounge there is the first bedroom - a double bedroom with plenty of space to store any personal items. Head back out in the hallway and you ll find a twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request). The master bedroom is a super-king-size with en-suite shower room with WC. It has ample storage space and a wall mounted Smart TV. The family bathroom completes the layout and has a bath (perfect if you want to soak those tired legs after being out and about exploring all day) separate shower and WC. Outside you have an enclosed decked and patio area with table and chairs and BBQ area (BBQ not provided disposables welcome) should you wish to dine alfresco. The owner of the neighbouring property has kindly given guests direct access via the footpath from the property through his garden to the clifftop where there is a gate and steps which lead directly down to the sandy beach. There is private off-street parking directly outside the front of the property for two cars. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 super king size, 1 double, 1 twin zip and link (which can be made up to a super king size on request). 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, and 1 en suite shower room with WC.
