This charming detached Norfolk hideaway is owned by HM The King. Nestled within the heart of his much-loved Sandringham Estate, this country retreat is the closest estate property to Sandringham House itself, and exudes appreciation of the great outdoors and the beautiful gardens it sits within. As the former residence of HM Queen Elizabeth's head gardener, the gardens are a sheer delight and provide a superb setting for this idyllic house.

This beautiful semi-detached cottage is set in the traditional and peaceful Norfolk village of Harpley. The village enjoys a pub and children s play park both just over 0.5 miles away. The cottage is located in the heart of the Norfolk countryside it s a great base to explore the surrounding area. Attractions include Sandringham - the King s estate (7 miles) Houghton Hall (1.5 miles) and the truly stunning beaches along the North Norfolk coast. Some favourite places are Thornham (12 miles) Brancaster (13.5 miles) Hunstanton (15 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea (17 miles) all within easy reach. Further along the coast is Blakeney Point (22 miles); a short boat ride takes you to see England s largest colony of grey seals. Fakenham and Kings Lynn with an array of shops and eateries are both conveniently within 12 miles. Enter this characterful cottage through the front door; on the ground floor you have a splendid kitchen area perfect for the designated chef to lovingly prepare a light snack or hearty meal. The dining room is fit for any special occasion and comfortably seats up to eight guests. The lounge area (which is thoughtfully decorated with a movie theme) makes a great room for families to cosy up around the wood burner and watch a movie together on the Smart TV and DVD provided. Completing the downstairs layout is a utility room with a washing machine and a WC. Upstairs all bedrooms have ample storage space for clothes and personal belongings. Guests have the choice of a king-size zip-and-link room two double rooms - one with en-suite - and a twin room. There is a family bathroom completing the property. Outside you have a covered decked area and a summerhouse ideal for some cocktails in the evening. A gas BBQ is provided perfect for those who love to dine alfresco style. Shared with the holiday property next door there is a communal area which includes a sunken trampoline and a table tennis table providing hours of fun for all the family. A backdrop of unspoilt Norfolk countryside views complements this. Leisure facilities: Bootcamp and Circuit classes conveniently located in the village running & cycling routes directly from the door. Beauty treatments are also available at the cottage or at nearby salon with arrangement with the owner.
