Horseshoe Cottage is the perfect bolthole in Sheringham Horseshoe Cottage is a pretty newly refurbished cottage in Sheringham. It has plenty of off road parking and a large garden. Owned by James and Sabrina, who’s eye for detail, is apparent in the decor and furnishings. Although the cottage is small you have everything you need for a relaxing holiday, including a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. The living space is comfortable with a sofa and chair, and to one end is the dining table and kitchen area. The stairs are quite steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility concerns. The gardens are a real surprise, and extremely spacious. They are fully enclosed mainly laid to lawn with flower borders. Sheringham is one of those timeless places you come back to year after year. Apart from the award winning Blue Flag beach, the town is home to many independent shops, galleries and restaurants, not to mention the fabulous fish and chips! There is a traditional market twice a week. Sheringham is home to the Poppy Line, The North Norfolk Steam Railway, and this is the jewel in Sheringham’s crown. This attraction, run by volunteers is the focal point for many events over the year, including the famous 1940s weekend held in September. There is something going on in Sheringham all year round run by a dedicated Carnival Committee. Sheringham Carnival held in August is a real treat for all the family, with tradition at its core. So much more than just the seaside.
