Kirrin Cottage is a beautifully, and carefully, curated holiday cottage in Sheringham. Of course it is named after the house in Enid Blyton’s Famous Five books, the house where all the adventures start. So perfect for you to have your exciting Norfolk holiday adventure. Kirrin Cottage is the much loved holiday home of Marilyn and Andrew, and their love for beautiful objects, furnishings and original local artworks is evident throughout the house. The cottage is a handsome, and traditional brick and flint property, in the centre of Sheringham, just a five minute walk to the beach and town centre. The accommodation is elegant and stylish, with some interesting vintage pieces and original artworks. Kirrin Cottage can sleep up to 6 guests, but is probably better suited to 4 or 5 as one room is a bunk room. There are 3 bedrooms, all beautifully presented and comfortable, with high ceilings and an airy feel. The Master bedroom has a wonderful rattan superking bed which is as cosy as it looks! The second bedroom has a cool, restful feel with a French style king sized bed. The third bedroom is a bunk bed room probably best suited to children. All the beds are made up with super quality linens for a wonderful night’s sleep. Downstairs the tiled hallway leads to an open plan sitting room and kitchen, with a dining table to one end. The furnishings, are again, beautifully curated and each item chosen carefully to compliment the rest. A woodburner provides a comforting focal point in colder weather. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge and dishwasher. (Washing machine in downstairs WC). There is plenty of stylish and quality table and glassware. To the rear, off the kitchen, there is an enclosed courtyard garden, perfect for morning coffees or a glass of wine in the evenings. Outside furniture is provided. Kirrin Cottage is a special place to stay for even the most discerning of guests, especially those with an eye for interiors and design. We know this will be a super popular property with Crabpot Cottage’s guests! Sheringham is one of those timeless places you come back to year after year. Apart from the award winning Blue Flag beach, the town is home to many independent shops, galleries and restaurants, not to mention the fabulous fish and chips! There is a traditional market twice a week. Sheringham is home to the Poppy Line, The North Norfolk Steam Railway, and this is the jewel in Sheringham’s crown. This attraction, run by volunteers is the focal point for many events over the year, including the famous 1940s weekend held in September. There is something going on in Sheringham all year round run by a dedicated Carnival Committee. Sheringham Carnival held in August is a real treat for all the family, with tradition at its core. So much more than just the seaside.
