Stepping inside, guests will be greeted by original features such as a beamed ceiling in the sitting room and a red brick fireplace housing an electric woodburning stove. The kitchen still retains its original pine fronted storage cupboards and warm quarry tiled floor. The sitting room is furnished with two cozy sofas, a coffee table, and ambient lighting, while the dining area features a table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and crockery.
Comfortable Bedrooms
Up the steep, traditional cottage stairs are two beautiful and comfortable double bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, an original cast iron fireplace (decorative only), and plenty of storage with a hanging rack and chest of drawers. The second bedroom features a double bed, bedside tables, and lamps, with hooks on the wall for hanging clothes.
Outdoor Space
To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed garden, perfect for enjoying warm evenings outside. Please note that there is a right of way at the top of the garden for the other cottages, although it is rarely used. The cottage also has allocated parking in the driveway of the neighboring property, as well as a lockable storage shed for bicycles.
Local Amenities
Snettisham is a charming village with everything you could possibly need. The popular Rose and Crown pub and The Old Bank Restaurant are both within walking distance, although booking is essential for the latter. The Old Stores offers delicious breakfast and coffee, and there is also a large antique center with a great coffee shop and a chocolatier located nearby.
Nature and Wildlife
One of the main attractions of Snettisham is its proximity to the famous RSPB reserve on the Wash, as well as Wild Ken Hill, which has been featured on BBC's Springwatch and Autumnwatch. This area is renowned for its world-class birding and wildlife watching opportunities. Just a short drive away are other RSPB reserves such as Titchwell and Cley Salt Marsh, and during the winter months, guests can witness the spectacular sight of Pint Foot geese returning to roost.
