About Teacup Cottage

Teacup Cottage is as adorable as its name would imply. Crammed full of cosy character and with bags of charm, this lovely cottage has been thoughtfully styled throughout to provide a lovely little haven to escape to for a short or longer break at any time of the year.

This Victorian brick and flint cottage sits right in the heart of the pretty village of Syderstone, a pitch perfect location for exploring coastal and rural North Norfolk. With a traditional period layout of 'two up-two down', and with the addition of a downside bathroom which, you will be pleased to hear, is inside and not outside! The front door opens directly from 'The Street' into an attractive and welcoming comfortably furnished sitting room that shares a dining area. There's a wood burning stove here too to light up the cosy factor to the max when the night's draw in and add an extra warm glow to the ground floor. One of two, the second stove is set within an inglenook fireplace in the adjoining country-style kitchen, where pine units with marble tops and a Belfast sink blend in seamlessly, and offers an option for more warmth, if required. The bathroom and a rear vestibule which takes you to the back door, complete the scene. Upstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms; a very spacious master bedroom with a king-size brass bed and a twin room.

The back door of the cottage opens into Webster's Yard; a private area made up of a small number of equally pretty cottages. Take a pew on the bench, just outside the door, which sits under an old fig tree and enjoy a gentle start to the day with a mug of coffee. Walking across the shingled courtyard, you will find a gate which leads into Teacup Cottage's private and fully enclosed sunny south facing 'secret garden' - a peaceful place principally laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs. Here there's a pretty summer house, outdoor seating and charcoal barbecue - the perfect option on a day when you just feel like staying 'at home', relaxing, soaking up warm summer rays and sharing some fabulous local fayre.
