Just a 5.5-mile drive away is the historic stannary market town of Tavistock offering its own unique charm and attractions including Buckland Abbey and the enchanting Garden House. Slightly further afield is Plymouth (9.5 miles) which offers a range of shops restaurants bars and many historical sites like the Hoe the National Marine Museum and the Theatre Royal. Further south (17 miles) explore the tranquil sandy beach of Bovisands and unwind along the sheltered bay located in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National Trust property Buckland Abbey is a 5-mile drive away and well worth a visit or head further afield to Plymouth Gin (15 miles) or Pennywell Farm (30 miles) for something a little different.
