About Wesleyan Chapel

The Chapel itself was built in 1884 with many elements of the Gothic Revival style included in its construction. The recent restoration has ensured that many of these traditional features have been kept and now blend seamlessly with all the modern conveniences you would expect in a truly stunning Rural Retreat.

The pretty white wooden entrance vestibule opens up into the large open-plan living area with its traditional vaulted ceilings creating a feeling of old-world charm and ambience. The dual aspect wood burning stove and open chimney breast takes pride of place within the room and separates the comfortable living area from the modern fully fitted kitchen, dining area with its large island and original church pews.

The chapel sleeps up to eight guests in four spacious double bedrooms which can be found down a stone staircase on the lower floor. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and is decorated with traditional patterns and heritage colours.

There is an outside patio, complete with seating area for you to enjoy the breath-taking location and panoramic views of Wharfe Valley and Barden Bridge, all in perfect seclusion and peace.

The garden patio boasts a hot tub to enjoy with unspoilt views of the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. There is also a spacious seating area and BBQ for the most special of al-fresco dining.

Cottage guests are welcome to use the nearby Devonshire Spa during their stay at a cost of £7.50 per person. 45-minute timed slots are available on the hour starting from 7am until 6pm and must be booked in advance. Spa day experiences are also available which include treatments, extended use of the spa facilities and lunch. Please contact the spa directly to book.
