The village offers a pub and a local shop and is home to a Grade I-listed 15th-century castle which was once the home of Henry VIII s sixth wife. Bedale is a bustling town housing a range of amenities to make the most of. From here you can also visit other attractive spots such as Thirsk (14 miles) and Richmond (16 miles).
