About Saxon House
This smart and convenient stone house is set in the sought after North Yorkshire village of Harome, with fine dining options on your doorstep. Saxon House is a traditional yet modern dog-friendly detached house sleeping nine guests in five delightful bedrooms.The main house is arranged over two floors, spacious and well laid out, comprising of a large triple aspect sitting room featuring a wood burning stove and french doors leading out to the garden, open-plan kitchen and dining area with marble worktops and seating area for up to eight guests overlooking the garden to the rear of the house on the ground floor. Stairs then lead to the first floor offering four bright and airy bedrooms: master bedroom with en-suite shower room and three further bedrooms all of which are perfect for retiring after a full day exploring the North York Moors, and a main family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
The annexe sits proudly at the bottom of the garden; entered via the French doors into the open-plan living area, home to a delightful and well-equipped kitchen with seating area for two guests to enjoy the garden whilst having a morning cuppa. The accommodation also includes a spacious bedroom with the added advantage of a zip and link super-king size bed which, if required, can be configured as twin single beds; along with a modern en-suite shower room with a double walk-in shower. Perfect for those in the group who enjoy a little peace and quiet, whilst still enjoying a break away with family and friends. Please note.The annexe will be closed off for those that book the lower occupancy of seven guests or less.
Saxon House faces south and has a generous garden to the rear edged with well stocked boarders leading to the side of the garden, featuring patio table and chairs for guests to enjoy alfresco dining during the summer months, accompanied by a charcoal barbecue.
Harome is a very attractive village with pretty cottages (many are thatched), a church and two renowned restaurants. The Pheasant is a 3 rosette awarded restaurant and The Star Inn at Harome, with it's very own Michelin star, serves modern Yorkshire food to the highest of standards.
